When we found out today was the Day of Rapture, we immediately loaded up and headed for the Owhyee Mountains. Since Jesus was coming for supper, just after the world wide earthquake, what better place to be wisked up to heaven than surrounded by mother nature.

First off, mother nature decides that it should rain. Possibly a clensing event. Whatever, we make a bee-line for the old gravel pit in hopes of finding a little shelter. Didn't work though, we ended up under a big sagebrush:

The rain finally lets up and some sun breaks through just in time for me to get this panorama of the entire Owyhee Front:

Up the mountain we go, in search of ...... Then, I get a shot of Hayden Peak, Turntable and War Eagle Mountains:

Still no big guy. We are bummed so we decide to look at some possible realestate, circa Fred Flintstone:

Where was this when it was raining? Comes with its own stove and everthing!

We drive over to look at the back yard of our potential new neighbors. Not bad folks at all:

Well, it's time to load up and go back home on the "Beast". Maybe we'll get lucky on the next Rapture!

All-in-all another outstanding spring ride in Idaho's Owyhee Moutains!

Are those lava formations in some of your pictures? Looks like a neat place to explore!
