What are they planning to do for the rodeo? Do you know anyone riding in the Rally?

The rally is really a car rally. They are sponsoring the event and covering the insurance. So, I'm assuming it will be on gravel roads so that drift cars, etc., can compete. The annual Idaho City ISDE is the week before and we are trying to access that course and see if there would be appropriate sections for ATVs that we could potentially run. Personally, I have no interest in the car rally, but I do wish them luck. Like the yearly ISDE, it should bring a lot of much needed cash to the valley.

As far as the Rally goes, Its on the dirt roads out of Placerville to Idaho City. Jack Stark ran it last year in the rzr 900xp. He said it was a blast, there are some hairy parts where if you go off the road you would still be rolling to this day.

They shut the roads down, make sure no one can get on to the road where the stage is being held. This year word has it that there are about 10 pro side by sides coming with a long list of pros on quads. Ill be up there running one of my quads if im healed back up by then that is.

The Promoter for Rally contaced me a couple months ago asking me to get the word out that ATV and SxS racing was allowed.
No one seemed intersted in it due to pricing .
I think to do a couple rounds per year would and should be totally doable if planned enough in advance for many !
Id love to go out and see it myself actually ..

Ya for the main rally in june is a little spendy. But for the RallyX is 20 bucks for an all day of playing. That is at pleasant valley raceway. Mark made a little track out there for the rally. Come on out some time Tina. Doesnt cost anything to watch.
